BVRIT Hyderabad College of Engineering for Women works hard in not only providing the best
academics but also strives to fulfill the dreams of students willing to establish their own startup
in future.
Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) is established on 8th July 2015 to promote
entrepreneurship and to improve the entrepreneurial skills among the students. The main
objective of EDC is to create entrepreneurial culture in the institute and foster the growth of
innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the students and faculty members. It is working in
collaboration with ATL and IoT maker space of the Institute and J-Hub (JNTUH - Innovation
Hub) of the University to encourage the innovation and build the ecosystem for aspiring
entrepreneurs. An international conference i-CET 2018 was conducted by the EDC in
collaboration with American Business School. Many awareness programs and colloquia are
being conducted to nurture students on entrepreneurship. The college has received a funding of
Rs. 40,000/- from DST-NIMAT in 2018.
The Business Incubator (BI) at BVRIT HYDERABAD College of Engineering for Women is intended to serve as a laboratory to launch new start-ups in emerging areas with a distinctive
focus on varied domains. BVRITH is a premier technical institution in the Telangana State
attracting the best engineering talent which is committed to start companies generating revenue
and creating local employment opportunities. Creating a vibrant start-up ecosystem in the
Telangana State will play a key role in ushering in progress in the region which has had a
turbulent past.
The setting up of the BI at BVRITH is well-aligned with Institution’s objectives of providing
thought and technical leadership besides creating significant value for all stakeholders.
